The Mulch Calculator tells you how much mulch to buy for a bed.
- Click Calculators in the left menu, then Mulch Calculator.
- Enter how wide and how long the bed is, in feet, and how deep you want the mulch, in inches.
LawnPro shows:
- Square Feet of the bed
- Total Cubic Feet Needed
- Total Cubic Yards Needed (for bulk mulch)
- Bags of Mulch Needed, based on 3 cubic foot bags
Example: a 10 ft × 20 ft bed at 3 inches deep is 200 sq. ft. It needs 50 cubic feet, or 1.85 cubic yards, which is 17 bags.
The bag count is rounded to the nearest whole bag, so round up if you want a little extra.
