Zapier connects LawnPro to thousands of other apps, including Google Sheets, Gmail, Mailchimp, Slack and Facebook Lead Ads, so information moves between them on its own. Each automation is called a Zap. A Zap starts with a trigger (something that happens in one app) and then runs one or more actions (things Zapier does in another app).
Zapier is included on the Startup, Grow and Plus plans.
Connect LawnPro to Zapier
- Sign in to Zapier (or create a free Zapier account) and click Create → Zaps.
- Pick LawnPro as the app for your trigger or action.
- When Zapier asks you to sign in, choose Log in with LawnPro.
- Sign in to LawnPro as the account owner and click Allow. Only the account owner can approve the connection. You don’t need an API key.
You can also start from LawnPro’s page in the Zapier app directory: zapier.com/apps/lawnpro/integrations.
Connected Zapier to LawnPro a while ago? Older connections used your LawnPro email and password. If a Zap stops with a message asking you to reconnect, open the LawnPro connection in Zapier, click Reconnect, and choose Log in with LawnPro.
LawnPro triggers
| Trigger | Starts a Zap when… |
|---|---|
| New Customer | a customer is added |
| New Property | a property is added |
| New Invoice | an invoice is created |
| New Payment | a payment is received |
| New Expense | an expense is added |
| New To-Do | a to-do is added |
| Close Visit | a visit is marked complete |
| Property Not Serviced | a visit is marked as not serviced |
| Inactive Customer | an active customer’s last completed visit was 30, 60 or 90 days ago (Plus plan) |
LawnPro actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Customer | adds a customer with name, contact details, address and customer type |
| Update Customer | changes an existing customer’s details |
| Update Property | changes a property’s name, size, address, tax rates or notes |
| Create Invoice | creates an invoice for a customer with one or more line items |
| Create Estimate | creates an estimate for a customer with one or more line items |
| Create To-Do | adds a single or recurring to-do, optionally linked to a customer and property |
LawnPro searches
| Search | Finds |
|---|---|
| Find Customer | a customer by business name, email address or customer ID |
| Find Property | a property by name, property ID or customer ID |
| Find Payment | a payment by its transaction ID |
Searches are useful before an action. For example, use Find Customer before Create Customer so you don’t add the same person twice.
Example Zaps for lawn care businesses
- New leads go straight into LawnPro. Facebook Lead Ads (New Lead) → LawnPro Find Customer by email → if not found, LawnPro Create Customer → LawnPro Create To-Do “Call new lead” for today.
- Keep your mailing list current. LawnPro New Customer → Mailchimp (Add/Update Subscriber).
- Tell the office when a property is skipped. LawnPro Property Not Serviced → LawnPro Find Property (by property ID) → Slack or Gmail message to the office with the property and the reason it was skipped, so someone can call the customer.
- Say thanks after the job. LawnPro Close Visit → LawnPro Find Customer (by customer ID, to get their email) → Zapier Delay (1 day) → Gmail thank-you email to the customer.
- Track payments in a spreadsheet. LawnPro New Payment → Google Sheets (Create Spreadsheet Row).
- Win back quiet customers (Plus). LawnPro Inactive Customer → add the customer to a “win-back” list in your email tool.
